The USSR Quality Mark is a mark that was issued to enterprises, organizations and products that met certain quality standards and passed the test of compliance with the criteria.
This mark was established in 1967 on the initiative of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and was a kind of quality guarantee for consumers. Assignment of the quality mark secured a certain level of product quality and increased consumer confidence in it.
Over the years of its existence, the USSR Quality Mark was awarded to more than 62 thousand different enterprises and their products. It was widespread in various areas of industry, from food production to the automobile industry. The USSR Quality Mark was abolished in 1991 with the collapse of the USSR.
