VDNKh is the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy. It had different names and functions in different years.
1939-1959 — All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VSKhV).
1959-1992 — Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy of the USSR (VDNKh USSR).
1992-2013 — All-Russian Exhibition Center (VVC)).
2013-2018 — Return of historical appearance and name, large-scale reconstruction, new development concept.
2018 — present — Implementation of the VDNKh Revival program.
VDNKh is a complex of buildings (pavilions). Architecturally, the pavilions are designed in accordance with the style that was fashionable at the time of their construction. In the 30s – in the Art Deco style, in the 50s – in the Stalinist Empire style, in the 60s-80s – in the Soviet modernism style.

The axis of the exhibition consists of two parallel alleys – the Main and the Central. On the axis there are two squares (Friendship of Peoples and Industry). The main entrance to the exhibition from the side of Mira Avenue is decorated with an arch.

The most memorable monuments at VDNKh are undoubtedly the “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” and the “Friendship of the Peoples of the USSR” fountain.

49 VDNKh objects are considered cultural heritage monuments . They are monuments of various architectural styles of the USSR.
