“Young Technician” is a popular Soviet children’s technical magazine that was published from 1956 to 1993. The magazine contained scientific and educational articles, design and scientific problems for children, as well as news of science and technology.
The problems and design schemes published in the magazine allowed young readers to show their imagination, creativity and make something with their own hands. Some of the magazine’s materials were dedicated to famous scientists and inventors who were ahead of their time, as well as historical figures and peaceful and military technology. The magazine “Young Technician” was very popular among children and teenagers, and became one of the most widespread and favorite magazines of Soviet children.
I was subscribed to Young Technician for several years in a row. My favorite section was about radio electronics. And on the last page (back cover) there was always a “secret of the trick”. A section about how to show tricks yourself.
